description

NHSP supports a number of staff networks designed to promote inclusion by amplifying lived experiences across the organisation. These groups – Mindful Providers, RECI, Proud Providers, and DAwN – each represent different communities and perspectives, while collectively contributing to a more open, supportive workplace culture.

The brief was to create a set of distinct visual identities for each network ensuring they could be easily recognised at a glance, while giving each a clear sense of personality. As some of these networks also share outputs externally, the identities needed to be equally recognisable beyond the organisation, communicating clearly to wider audiences.

While each identity reflects a specific focus, they are unified through a shared visual language, allowing them to sit cohesively as part of a wider system and work seamlessly together.

Proud Providers exists to support LGBTQ+ staff and allies by providing a safe space for discussion, connection, and advocacy. The network raises awareness of the challenges faced by those within the community, while fostering a culture of openness and support across the organisation.

The visual identity is inspired by the colours of LGBTQ+ flags, celebrating diversity and pride while creating a bold, recognisable presence within the wider brand system.

RECI creates a platform for open dialogue, cultural exchange, and shared learning, encouraging employees to celebrate diversity and contribute to a more inclusive environment. The group also plays an active role in supporting the organisation’s commitment to becoming an anti-racist workplace.

The identity centres around a spectrum of skin tones, symbolising the diversity of backgrounds and experiences represented within the network, and reinforcing its focus on visibility and inclusion.

Mindful Providers offers a safe and supportive space for conversations around mental health and wellbeing – recognising that these challenges can affect individuals at any stage of their personal and professional lives. The network advocates for awareness, encourages peer support, and drives initiatives that promote a more mindful and inclusive organisation.

The visual identity draws from the organisation’s existing mental health sub-brand, using a green and yellow palette to create a sense of calm, optimism, and approachability.

DAwN supports disabled and neurodiverse colleagues across the organisation, fostering a culture of understanding through open conversations and shared learning around disability. The network provides a platform for visibility, advocacy, and support, helping to create a more inclusive and accessible workplace.

The visual identity takes a more conceptual approach compared to the other networks, drawing inspiration from the colours of the dawn spectrum. This gradient reflects ideas of change, visibility, and new perspectives – capturing the network’s role in encouraging awareness and ongoing progress.
