description
White to White is a clothing line that transforms recycled materials into wearable art. Some of the materials, like used plastic cups, are cut into pieces and turned into patterns or images, which are then sewn or adhered onto different fabrics.
The original garments are simple and modest, but they gain style and value once the recycled plastic pieces are applied. What was once considered cheap and disposable becomes refined, noble, and visually striking, showing how design
can elevate even the most humble materials.

ABOUT THE IDEA
Plastic cups have become one of the cultural symbols of the 21st century. They make life convenient, but their disposability comes
at a cost, as they are not biodegradable and contribute massively
to environmental waste.
In the U.S. alone, 58 billion plastic cups are discarded every year. The idea behind White to White was to give these materials a second life, transforming them into patterns and designs that reduce waste while creating something valuable and beautiful.
This project shows that improving our quality of life while caring for the environment doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of creativity and imagination.
