description
The NHS Providers Annual Conference and Exhibition is the organisation’s flagship event, bringing together senior leaders from NHS trusts, system partners, and key stakeholders. It creates a space for collaboration, shared learning, and leadership across the healthcare sector.
The 2024 edition, themed Next Generation, focused on strengthening the NHS through collective action – ensuring it remains responsive, effective, and ready to meet future needs.
The visual identity was developed to reflect this forward-looking theme. Bold geometric forms, a vibrant gradient palette, and contemporary typography were used to express energy and progress. The result is a confident and modern identity that supports the conference’s focus on innovation while remaining aligned with the organisation’s wider brand.

I was responsible for applying the conference branding across a range of collateral. This included designing email banners, creating social media cards for platforms like X and LinkedIn, and producing simple GIFs content for promotion.
Each piece was adapted to suit its format and audience, while keeping the overall identity consistent and recognisable across the campaign.

Wayfinding was an important part of the conference design, particularly within a large, multi-floor venue. The aim was to create a system that felt clear and easy to follow, helping attendees move through the space without confusion.
A combination of printed and digital signage was developed, using the conference identity to create a consistent and recognisable presence across all areas. The system was designed to work at different scales, from directional signage to key information points.
A floor plan and exhibition layout were also created to support navigation within the showcase area, making it easier for attendees to locate stakeholder stands and move around the space.

The printed programme was updated to sit alongside the venue’s digital displays, combining a quick “at a glance” overview with a more detailed session schedule. Advertising and stakeholder content were integrated into a flexible layout, allowing the document to adapt while staying consistent.
Due to the complexity of the artwork – particularly the use of gradients and transparencies – it was challenging to achieve a fully accurate printed result across all materials. This required close collaboration with the printers, refining files and testing outputs to ensure the programme and supporting printed assets, such as posters and signage, stayed as true as possible to the original design.

Showcasing the conference branding in action, the gallery captures everything from signage and stage graphics to information and NHS Providers exhibition stands, highlighting the design’s presence across
the venue.
